okay i was reinstalling some stuff back in my car. my rca cable that goes from the hu to the back was stuck on something so i had to pull it kinda hard. i connected everything and the speakers come out good but the bass is very quiet.
there is bass there but it not loud and i have to turn the gain way up to get the right voltage out of the amp.
it happened tonight so i didnt have a chance to check everything. i dont know if its the rca cable or the hu itself. like i said everything was fine until i did that.
so my question is just because i may have damaged the rca cable, can it only affect the bass signals?
Actually Chad, the same thing happened to me the other day. My friend is going to be setting up my new system in my truck and he had to take out my current setup so he could get the measurements to make my new box. Then when he put it back in and I got it back later that night the subs weren't hitting hard at all. I have yet to check it out, but I may, even though I am changing my setup soon. Let me know if you figure out what is wrong with yours. And if it is the HU that's the problem for me it is no big deal because he is giving me a new Pioneer HU as well.
yeah i will keep you posted corey. when i get off work this afternoon, ima go straight home and change the rca cable.
pit bull.......damn man. i fell asleep. when i woke up it was 1 am. damn i missed it. i missed the last time too. i saw her on the leno show preview and she looked hot. on 24 she does look hot but plain. on the leno show she did her make all fine. lol.
sounds like you pulled part of the inside wire from where in connects onto the inside of the terminal. unscrew the terminal sleve so you can look inside it and you can probly just solder it back togather.
or you may have grounded it with the HU on and shorted your pre out or something
thanks mat. it seems like your first choice. it kinda has that feeling of you know when you don't plug the headphone in all the way. you still get sound but the bass isn't there. that is what it feels like.
my mid speakers aren't playing that loud. what is loud are the tweeters.
its the hu. i changed the cable and still same thing. my audiocontrol stuff is what gives it bit more bass then there already is. i borrowed another hu and tried it and it works perfectly. it sux.
anyways i was going to buy another hu so its all good i guess.
i don't know about the 306's man. sorry. i don't really even know if the 307 is good or not yet. as you can read up there i am having problem with my hu.
when i connected my friends hu, it pounded hard and clean though. very nice budget subwoofer. i think it out bumps the cvr's imo.
