When running the power and ground wires to an amp, do I need to crimp a connector on?? Or can I just strip the wire, form the copper into a "V" and put that between the clamps under the screws on the amp???

Thanks, Chris

it doesnt have to be put in a V..if it doesnt fit, trim it down..dont use a connector unless your amp is made to take one.....

Check your amp, it should have screw-down connections for speakers and all other wires.

Im not 100% shure but I think Christopher Riley is talking about those little two pronged, fork lookin connectors and the round connectors with a hole in the middle. I have also wondered if those are supposed to be slid into the slot and then tightened down with the screws on the amp. Instead of just sticking the wire in the slot and tightening it down.

I know what you guys are talking about. It depends on the design of the amp. In most cases, if you the screws used are those for a screw driver, then you should be able to use those ring terminals. If the screws are for allen wrenches, then you just stick the wire in there without any terminals.
