Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 456 Registered: Nov-04 | CVR is a good sub, I think alpine type R is in the price range. I just got some TC sounds tc-1000s, pretty good price. Another good choice is adire audio shiva. |

Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 53 Registered: Jan-07 | how good is that tc sounds and howm uch power do you give them |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 463 Registered: Nov-04 | I haven't put them in yet. I have a 2400W RMS amp, so probably wire it at 4ohms and give them 300W rms. Or I may wire them at 1ohm and give 1200W each, but turn the sub-out all the way down. I think 400W rms would be fine for them, as recommended. My friend does have the 12" comp VR's and they're like $75 shipped on eBay...hard to beat for that price. They don't need a lot of power...300W RMS each and I recommend you get a custom built ported enclosure for it(them), if you do get it. I'll be able to tell you how the TC sounds subs are in about 2-3 weeks. |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 55 Registered: Jan-07 | i really didnt want the kicker, thats why i was asking what is comparable |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 469 Registered: Nov-04 | Adire shiva is a good sub. I only heard good things about the TC subs, that's why I got them. I suppose I'd recommend tc-1000s to you as well. |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 56 Registered: Jan-07 | where can u get the shivas from |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 471 Registered: Nov-04 | Right here... http://www.acoustic-visions.com/~acoustic/products/subwoofer_drivers/shiva_class ic/ I think shiva is a dual 8ohm sub. |

Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 477 Registered: Nov-04 | What type of sound scheme are you trying to accomplish? I see you want to get really loud, but how about sound quality? What kind of power do you have available? |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 64 Registered: Jan-07 | i am making a demo car..so that customers can get an idea of some of the things that can be done...i will supply them with whatever power i will need....sound quality is an issue....so id say an sql setup |

Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 478 Registered: Nov-04 | 4 subs will get sloppy, but loud. Can you do 2 or 3 DDs instead? |
Gold Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 3533 Registered: Jan-06 | oleg how will 4 subs get sloppy? and MnM you missed out man i just sold assassin 12 thats perfect low power sql |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 485 Registered: Nov-04 | It's a lot of air to be moved to maintain high SQ. There was a thread about that earlier and that's my opinion as well. |

Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 67 Registered: Jan-07 | so 4 subs gets sloppy...i know a guy who has 16 JL10w1s in his seabring.. |
Silver Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 651 Registered: Jul-06 | " 4 subs will get sloppy " BS flag on that one. SQ is about the frequency response and overall sound of the sub and enclosure. Doesn't matter how many subs there are. |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 68 Registered: Jan-07 | point made,so my list is narrowed to 4 DD 1510 4 Audioque SD210 4 Diamond D310 4 Memphis pr104 |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 495 Registered: Nov-04 | haha BS flag it all you want. I've heard 4 subs before and then just 2 of them. 4 was incredibly loud, but it lost a bit of clarity in the process. 2 wasn't as loud, but maintained most of the musicality and clarity. I doubt you can tell me my ears are wrong, but you can voice your opinion without hating on mine. |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 69 Registered: Jan-07 | so it lost a bit of clarity,,,,,how much is a bit,,,and how clear can trunk bass be |
Silver Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 499 Registered: Nov-04 | At high volume, the bass notes pretty much all blended together without much definition with each specific frequency. With 2, the difference between notes was much clearer. So I'm saying, MY PERSNOAL CHOICE would be to stick with 2 subs if I was looking for purely SQ. |
Bronze Member Username: MmaudioconceptsMurray, KY Post Number: 70 Registered: Jan-07 | basically i want it to sound good at medium volume...at high volumes its ok if it loses a little clarity |
Silver Member Username: BasssquaredPost Number: 232 Registered: Nov-06 | but hes not looking for "Purely SQ" hes looking for SQL big difference |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 4237 Registered: Dec-05 | 2 DD 3512 and that's it. I'd rather buy 4 10s. Forget about oleg. |
