Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 23:58 GMT Winter beater special! Well my amp kept going into protect mode, I was just driving and it went "crackle" and speakers stopped working so I took the speakers off (no load on amp) and it went into protect. Took out the RCA's...and it went into protect. I swapped the amp out with another, and it didn't seem to want to work either. Ground is where it has always been, bolted to the floor (sanded down metal). The one amp is a LA audio (yeah it was only $50) and the 2nd an older Rockford punch Any idea what to check next or do?

Thursday, February 22, 2007 - 04:30 GMT There was only a power, ground and rem hooked up to the LA amp and it would still go into protect, and the 2nd amp didn't even want to turn on.......
