Just want some opinions on what I should do. Heres the deal.

I have a 89' Range Rover. My subs are 2 15" Q's. Now in the RR there are 2 speakers for each front door. a pair of 5.25" and a pair of 6.75" (but I can fit 6.5" and 7").

Here's the question. How do you think I should do the front stage? I was thinking about getting a pair of nice 6.5" or 7" mid drivers and a 5.25" component set. Or getting a 6.5" component set that has a nice mid driver and a pair of 5.25" mids?

Any thoughts on this? Any other way you would do it?

^^^^ I think that would be a great system IF it's crossed-over correctly.

That would be nice. But I'm trying to spend no more than $200 for all.

that CL-50 uses an older tweeter though. i would look for the drt-25 only or drt-26. But if trying to stay under 200$ just get the Dayton 5in and 7in and the dayton tweeters and crossovers.

will the dayton tweets sound better than the old tweets that come with the cdt set?

i can't really comment because its been a while since i've used the dayton tweeter. I may have to see if i can find the HT stand i had and listen to them. The tw-24and even the tw-25(but happened at a different level than the tw-24)was good until you really cranked the volume as it lost its full sound it had and became very sharp and muffled.

I think anything is gonna be better than what I've run in the past. I've never ran a comp set. I've always had coaxial's.
