I was reading up on car audio and it said you shouldnt put more than the subs can handle. so each sub can handle 1000 watts, but the sub will be pumping out 3000..wont this blow my subs? |

Silver Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 456 Registered: Sep-06 | depends on your electrical system, if you dont have a solid 14.5 volts you wont see 3k, and 2 ive talked to scott and some Fi users 1500 is the absolute max to push the Q too, but you will be fine. how big of a alt do you have? have you done the big 3? if you dont have adleast a good 240 amps or so of current you wont even have to worry about it |

Silver Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 457 Registered: Sep-06 | replace stock wiring with 0 GA, is a must. and for some extra reinforcement i suggest batteries. most ppl tell you that a car audio batt is a must but if you can get a batt box you would save a ton of money getting a couple everstart maxx's. jsut make sure you get a batt box for if you get a non car audio batt bc of acid spilling |

For that amp, get the biggest alt you can get from Iraggi. The big 3 is when you upgrade the alt + to battery +, battery - to chassis, and engine block to chassis wire to heavy gauge wire. |
