Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 5943 Registered: Nov-04 | If your amp is class D, then you should be okay with stock alternator and battery. If you have the money and plan to upgrade in the future, then get 180A HO alternator. New battery isn't required unless it's dying. |

I am not sure how accurate that is, but if you're concerned, then use DMM and monitor the voltage near the amp and HU. Most people do not listen to loud music while blasting air and headlights on at the same time. If with DMM, you see voltage above 12.5v, then you're fine. If it falls below that, then you will need alternator upgrade. |
