Friday, February 09, 2007 - 02:42 GMT I have a pioneer P480 and its the second one ive had and both have the same problem. Pioneers seem to have crappy grounds because they always pick up engine noise. I fixed it but it was a pain in the @ss. Next head-unit I buy is going to be Eclipse for sure. Only drawback to eclipse is the non-removable faceplate.

Friday, February 09, 2007 - 02:52 GMT I've always used Pioneer, except for my last Panasonic HU, but I've never had any problems with engine noise!

Friday, February 09, 2007 - 05:55 GMT You can search for it on the net and find tons of people with the problem. It's because pioneer uses an internal microfuse and if it blows your f*cked. The unit will then try to find another ground through your RCA signal wires and make a high pitch whine.
