in the manual it shows it to be ran before crossovers and whatnot, but it doesnt show the epic 160 by itself. can i run this alone in between my head unit and amp?
yes you can. just make sure you don't set the lpf on you headunit to low cause if you do, then it won't have anything to process. remember it reads the upper frequencies and drops it down.
also make sure you set the lpf on your amp cause you don't want high frequencies playing through your amps either.
oh i got mine already, i bought this epic 160 for 50 bucks and its in almost new condition just no plugs or harness... it made a difference in the car it came out of, im expecting more though cause this was a single sealed 12 setup... im doing da two 18s...
i hear it isnt very accurate with real readings, but has a steady flow of accurate readings on its own meaning you can meter your stuff and do changes and see if the number goes up.
haha, that was just a random pic i threw in this thread for a bump. that is one of my friends though. 8 12s, sealed, and an amp and cap on the other side, and that is louis vutton (sp) material on his box. hit 147+ with amps around half way up, this summer he is building a higher yeilding spl box for them all...
