my friend bought a Power Acoustik MOFO-15 its dvc he says he can run 1300 rms into each voice coil is this true or is he gonna fry the sub by doing this
Well if you look at the brand, you should know that it's not real. Their power numbers also don't make any sense: Peak power 2800w, RMS 2600w. I don't know where they graduated from, but peak and rms aren't that close in ratio. If it were 1500w rms (still high), it won't handle 3000w total.
the sub will take around 1600 rms at most. one of my friends has it. The sub gets really loud but it very muddy and tends to blur everything together even at low volumes
