Silver Member Username: Livin_loud18 of Love Fi Audio Post Number: 930 Registered: Jan-06 | ^^^ wow that was bad well if you want a pure SQ setup you'd go sealed, but the ported box won't sound bad either... so if you port it i'd put it in a 4cuft box |

Silver Member Username: MgbcsLincoln, Nebraska Post Number: 212 Registered: Dec-06 | lol I was wondering there If I do not lose much SQ going ported, I'll take the extra SPL cuz I am leaning towards just doing one 15". Do you lose much SQ??? Also, what would the difference between 28 and 30HZ...not much? |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindWww.15inchwangers.comFI Audio BTL Post Number: 9711 Registered: Oct-05 | you don't lose sq. infact i prefer the sound of ported than sealed. you won't notice much difference by ear but still tune it 28hz. if you want louder and a bit boomier bass, you can tune it to around 36hz. at 36hz it still hits the lows. |
Silver Member Username: MgbcsLincoln, Nebraska Post Number: 214 Registered: Dec-06 | I guess I don't quite understand...sorry. You said at 28hz "let it rumble the sh!t out of your neighborhood," and at 36hz bass would be "louder and a bit boomier." I guess I don't get the difference |

Silver Member Username: MgbcsLincoln, Nebraska Post Number: 215 Registered: Dec-06 | I will enjoy either one...and they will be loud enough no matter what. I wanna FEEL it! So is this like the box I should build for an SUV? If so, where would the sub and port face? http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp?Ew=40&Eh=15&Dia=9&Xmax=27&Vd= .19&NumW=1&Vb=4&Fb=28&Qts=&Vas=&Fs=&CE=0 |

Gold Member Username: BestmankindWww.15inchwangers.comFI Audio BTL Post Number: 9714 Registered: Oct-05 | i'd face the sub up and port to the back. or sub to the back and the port to the side if there is room on the side of the box. |
