joe | Which trait of a subwoofer means more power and bass? More watt's, larger size, or what? |
Derek | Larger size is the most important factor. |
superfecta | Its really a matter of give and take.If you have a smaller woofer,it requires more power or more woofers to get the same volume as a larger woofer with lower power. This assumes that you have optimized your box size for the woofer. My suggestion is decide first on how much space you have for a box, then size your woofer to that box. Then once you have that figured, buy an amp that matches the power rating of the speaker. Also, when looking at a speaker ,look at the SPL rating (higher is better),box size requirements (smaller is better, but lower bass, below 40hz will be harder to produce)so thats why its a trade off. |
| Has anyone heard the beyma car speakers I found on http://www.usspeaker.com/Beyma%20Car%20Audio-1.htm I was interested in their subwoofers and tweeters with replaceable diaphragms. |
