I bought an aftermarket Head Unit from JVC and a wiring harness and also got the Wiring guide for my 96 Ford Explorer. I connected the main required wires from the car to the harness, properly connecting the ground, and the 12vConstant and the 12vAccessory. Now when I plug in the deck, it lights up and says "See You" then powers off. I am now unable to power it back on in any way. However I am able to insert and eject cd's. Just in no way to get it fully powered up. If I unplug and replug sometimes it does the "See you again" and sometimes it just stays off. Very confused, any help would be greatly appreciated . I had the same problem with my JVC head unit, come to find out it was my power lead/ACC, so i ran a wire from the fuse box, using a fuse that only runs with the key in the ACC/on position, reset the radios micro computer and now it works perfectly fine. hope it helps with your situation.
