clifford matrix rsx 3.5 isnt working when cold the key works fine but when i try and R.S. it dies real quick. now i was told i could make my crank time longer but does n e 1 know how to do that or adjust the tach?
So what exactly happens, does the engine actually start, or does it just crank and then stop?
Some remote starters have a wire run to the tach so the unit knows when to stop cranking the starter. Others just crank it for a preset amount of time. If you yours is the latter, there should be a way to adjust that amount of time, look in the instruction manual. As for the idle adjustment, don't touch that.
thanx i got it figured out the crank time for the remote start needed to be longer when it is cold. i talked to clifford. the shop that installed it is increasing it tomorrow.
