I am about to get a JL Audio 500/1 amp with 2 10w6v2 subs...would I need a capacitor cap or an alternator upgrade for just this one amplifier?? I have a 1999 Nissan Altima with a new Die Hard Gold series battery with a stock alternator..with this single amp, will power be a problem??? any advice is appreciated ty!

No, but if later down the line you might want to get an amp of full range speakers then you might need a cap. later compadre.

If I recall, your JL is a class D amp. It's very efficient. You will not need to upgrade your alternator. I would however recommend adding a 1 farad cap to handle the deep bass transients your JL subs will produce. Good luck.
