Power Acoustik makes Kole along with other winners such as SPL and Farenheit. Stay away from all of those brands. Your buddy could buy a really nice mono amp for near that money on eBay or from one of the many guys selling really nice amps on here. Look around.
Yea, Julio is right...that amp is not one of the best brands but $175 for a true 2000w minimum, you can't beat that...plus that amp is not exactly GARBAGE. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot better, but it's not the bottom of the barrel. My cousin has 1 pushing to Rockford Fosgate T1's, and they slam with this amp. The only thing I don't like is the fact that this thing doesn't use fuses, so if something burns out...it just burns out!
