I am looking to replace my stock Infinity 6.5" component speakers (front) in my 99 Dakota. I will most likey keep the factory head unit (possibly add DEH-4800) and amp. My question is about component speaker crossovers. Do I need to use the new crossovers or can I use the factory crossovers (if there are any)? Do I even need a component speaker or can I use a good 2 way? The tweeters are ok. I would like to just pop in the replacement speakers and rock on. Obviously I am not looking for some high end audio system here. The reason is I will be selling the truck in the near future and the stock system is pretty decent for factory. I am thinking of using MB Quart or Infinity component speakers. 2 way if I can get away with it.
