New member Username: Nicoletompson8Roseville, Ca USA Post Number: 7 Registered: Jan-07 | I couldnt tell you about that wire but I can say that 5ft would more than likely be to short for the big 3. Depending on the vehicle, the alternator is anywhere from 1 to 5ft away. Remeber the big three are from the battery negative to chassis, the alternator to battery positive, and the chassis to engine. Most of the time you have to navigate around engine components and that takes up wire. I would first take a look at the battery and alternator and get a ft. estimate of the points to be connected.
