Silver Member Username: ZoomiebirdGville, FL Post Number: 244 Registered: May-06 | dudes let me tell you how to do it: Step 1: spend a month or more without buying another cheap crappy amp Step 2: make (and save) a little extra dough Step 3: buy good amp Result: bass like you've never heard, and that doesn't go into protect Cheers! |

Bronze Member Username: Skibum12189Post Number: 31 Registered: Mar-06 | Selling My Hifonics Bxi1206D. Great Beginner Amp and could definitely push an L7 or a CVR. Lemme know what you'd wanna spend. It pushes about 900 Hifonics rms which wouldn't overpower a 750 watt cvx or L7. I'd take 150 plus S&H |
Bronze Member Username: Skibum12189Post Number: 32 Registered: Mar-06 | That was 1200 at 1 ohm or 900 at 2 ohms |

Gold Member Username: MixneffectOrangevale, Ca. USA Post Number: 1362 Registered: Apr-05 | Thats about 4 CF |
Gold Member Username: MixneffectOrangevale, Ca. USA Post Number: 1363 Registered: Apr-05 | If you subtract 3/4" for the walls you are left with 3.1466154 CF. The port and sub displacement needs to be subtracted as well. |

Silver Member Username: Pike11012w6v2s, Indianapolis... Post Number: 325 Registered: Oct-05 | Before you buy anything new. Make sure you know how to set your gains correct. That is a big problem when you are using gear like lanzar, pyle, and pyramid. They say 2000 watts on them, but they don't put out even close to that. So, some people I'm not saying you did, turn the gain up to try to get it louder and end up toasting the subs. Just make sure you do a lot of research on here and ask a lot of questions. The last thing you want to do is buy some decent products and end up burning up the coils on the subs and so forth. Just my 2cents. |
New member Username: SexybratPost Number: 9 Registered: Jan-07 | is that 4cf enough room? i got a sealed box at those measurements. as for sq or spl wuts that mean? i would like to know more about setting amps and such im kinda new to this and i dont get some of the term and such. thnx for all ur help and input every little bit helps |
Gold Member Username: MixneffectOrangevale, Ca. USA Post Number: 1366 Registered: Apr-05 | 56" X 8.5"(average between the 10" bottom and the 7" top) X 16" = 7616 / 1758 = 4.3321956 CF. This is just over 4 cubic feet, but these are not taking in consideration the wall thickness and/or sub and port displacement. You need to use the 3.1466154 CF measurement. That one has the walls configured for 3/4". |
Gold Member Username: FrkkevinResonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 2535 Registered: Nov-05 | your measurements are confusing?.. you have two heights? but which is which.. |
Gold Member Username: MixneffectOrangevale, Ca. USA Post Number: 1367 Registered: Apr-05 | Its a slanted box Kevin. The bottom is 10" wide and the top is 7" wide. To get the exact volume you subtract 7 from 10 (10 - 7 = 3). Then you divide the difference in two (3 / 2 = 1.5). Then you add the difference (1.5) to the smallest number (7). So, you add 7 + 1.5 which comes to 8.5 So then the math comes out. |
New member Username: SexybratPost Number: 10 Registered: Jan-07 | so i picked me up a L7 kicker for 150bux canadain now is my box gonna be ok for it? and wut kind of amp should i get for it? any input is apprectiated as i said b4 in new to this stuff lol thnx guys |
