Tuesday, January 02, 2007 - 07:22 GMT I just took a capacitor off of a box that has been sitting in my basement for about a year or so. I'm not quite sure if i need to charge it, or discharge it, or how to do either of those.

Sunday, January 07, 2007 - 21:24 GMT If it sat for a year its de-energized. Put a screw driver across both terminals to be sure. If it dont spark, its empty. Charging it involves a bulb.
