Silver Member Username: ZoomiebirdGville, FL Post Number: 236 Registered: May-06 | do you have a reciept for those subs? if so return them and get something better. save up few dollars, then after a month or two on this forum you will have a good idea of what you want. try it, you'll like it. |

Gold Member Username: TdbdadrummerWellsburg, WV USA Post Number: 1751 Registered: Aug-05 | Ok hold on a second...Ok, nevermind, take them back! I owned a pair of those (12's), and they don't perform well. Smallish excursion, BARELY handled 400W RMS, weak tinsel leads, the aluminum cone is kinda thin and easily dented, and so forth and so on. I mean, compared to Sony they're pretty nice, but compared to anything other than that, get something better! |

Bronze Member Username: Spandmh1Post Number: 31 Registered: Oct-06 | well ive secretly wanted one of those XXX's but there is no store around me that sales them. my mom wont let me order one off the net cuz im not 18 yet and she wont do it for me. maybe a store can order one for me? are the XXX's an SQ or SPL sub? im lookin for brain splattering SPL and i was wonderin if that is a good sub for that? if not, could u recommend some? |
Gold Member Username: 54danny54KY More Wang Th... Post Number: 3142 Registered: Nov-04 | well there SQL good sq good spl. id much rather have an 05 model than a newer model. People say the newer ones have a heavier moving mass and need lots of power to perform. www.ascendantaudio.com look at the arsenals and assasins. maybe havoc if you have the money. www.audioque.com cheap NICE subs www.ficaraudio.com for your fi needs lol. ohh yea, cant order offline. well if you cant find em at a shop then you might be able to pick up a few kicker CVR's. |
Bronze Member Username: Spandmh1Post Number: 32 Registered: Oct-06 | hey thanks for the links man. very helpful. now i just have to decide... i like those havocs. they seem pretty decent. but they have that steep price tag too. i might have to get some of those audioques. pretty cheap. ahh, decisions decisions! at any rate, i have to wait to get my car fixed anyways! thats gonna take a while. then i have to sell the POS's volfs. but o well. atleast that gives me alot of time for deciding. thanks again mr. havoc! |

Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 1565 Registered: Sep-04 | Matt, if you have the money, your money! Then send a money order to whatever company you plan to buy a sub from instead of paying online you will pay through mail and so forth. This will help you go behind your moms back :D. |
Bronze Member Username: Spandmh1Post Number: 33 Registered: Oct-06 | i was going to power them with a JBL bp1200.1 its pretty decent i guess..? mr. berny, how would i go about doing that? just contact them and mail the money to them? |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 1570 Registered: Sep-04 | is that a serious question? common, I know you heard of a money order. and you can't send money in the mail. You can go to walmart or a check/cashing place and get a money order for the amount you need. They'll charge you like 50 Cents. |
Silver Member Username: ZoomiebirdGville, FL Post Number: 237 Registered: May-06 | btw dude, sweet amp. i have one myself and love it. only thing is it doesnt have a high pass filter, so if you decide to go ported on the box you will need to get some form of one. gl getting a better sub/s. i couldnt be happier with my Q, sounds sooooo nice and gets damn loud. |
Gold Member Username: TdbdadrummerWellsburg, WV USA Post Number: 1767 Registered: Aug-05 | If you go with something like CVR's, might as well spend a little more money and pick up a pair of '06 CV V-Max's at that point... |
