do you have a reciept for those subs? if so return them and get something better. save up few dollars, then after a month or two on this forum you will have a good idea of what you want. try it, you'll like it.

Ok hold on a second...Ok, nevermind, take them back!

I owned a pair of those (12's), and they don't perform well. Smallish excursion, BARELY handled 400W RMS, weak tinsel leads, the aluminum cone is kinda thin and easily dented, and so forth and so on.

I mean, compared to Sony they're pretty nice, but compared to anything other than that, get something better!

it that the 10w3v1? I used to have a few of those. They perform well in .75-1.0 sealed and 1.25-1.5 ported tuned to 35hz

well there SQL good sq good spl.
id much rather have an 05 model than a newer model. People say the newer ones have a heavier moving mass and need lots of power to perform.

hey thanks for the links man. very helpful. now i just have to decide... i like those havocs. they seem pretty decent. but they have that steep price tag too. i might have to get some of those audioques. pretty cheap. ahh, decisions decisions! at any rate, i have to wait to get my car fixed anyways! thats gonna take a while. then i have to sell the POS's volfs. but o well. atleast that gives me alot of time for deciding. thanks again mr. havoc!

Matt, if you have the money, your money! Then send a money order to whatever company you plan to buy a sub from instead of paying online you will pay through mail and so forth. This will help you go behind your moms back :D.

is that a serious question? common, I know you heard of a money order. and you can't send money in the mail. You can go to walmart or a check/cashing place and get a money order for the amount you need. They'll charge you like 50 Cents.

btw dude, sweet amp. i have one myself and love it. only thing is it doesnt have a high pass filter, so if you decide to go ported on the box you will need to get some form of one. gl getting a better sub/s. i couldnt be happier with my Q, sounds sooooo nice and gets damn loud.

If you go with something like CVR's, might as well spend a little more money and pick up a pair of '06 CV V-Max's at that point...
