Well you all know I'm building up.. I run a single RE SX 15" with an RE 35.1. Now I have two RE 35.1s and I was going to throw in another SX 15".. but I can get an MT for $275 local...
so which in you opinion would be the better system.. this is daily/comp
(2) RE SX 15s with (2) RE 35.1s (1) RE MT with (2) RE 35.1s, one on each coil
It is tempting.. The only thing is the SXs are a better daily sub and seeing both setups would be given the same power.. the cone area would win over the MTs output... but its gonna be a pain throwing another SX in my trunk as were the MT would be a drop in..
2 RE SX on 3600rms in a 6.0-6.5cu.ft box after displacement
1 RE MT on 3600rms in a 4 cu.ft box
i still have a feeling the SX would be a better choice.. MTs can get very loud but i doubt it would make up for the cone area .. not to mention i'd have to gain match the amps perfect per coil.
id get another sx like you siad the MTs output still wont account for the sx's cone area advantage. plus SX are all around better daily subs, or so they say
