okay this is the way i packed my sub when i shipped it.

i make a box that will make the sub fit in there with a little room.
i lay 3 pieces of cardboard on the bottom.
then i lay around 3 layers of bubble wrap on the bottom.
then i set the sub down on it.
then i use the bubble wrap to fill in the spaces between the basket and the box.
then i roll up the bubble wrap and put it betweet the rubber surround and the box thick enough so the cone never touches anything in the box.
the i lay 3 layers of bubble wrap on top.
lay 2 more pieces of cardboard on top and then close the box.

do it simple like the way the companies ship heavy subs

1 - cut 2 square pieces of mdf about 1" wider than ur sub
2 - cut 4 pieces of 2x2" lumber about 1/2" taller than ur sub

what ur doing is making like a 'house' 4 it - 1 piece of mdf @ the bottom & u attach a 2x2 @ each corner like a post
then u rest ur sub (magnet side down)on the middle between those 4 'posts' & screw the 'roof' on each posts

hope u understand my desciption - problem solved & wont u nothing much ...
