New member Username: Cadi_sittin_on_l7sIndiana Post Number: 2 Registered: Dec-06 | ive had them all man. dont get 3 15's for 200 apiece. spend a little extra and get the 2 kicker 15" l7s. they run on average 320$, but can find for less. also these 15 l7s hit like 18 inches because of there square. also maybe the 12" l7s. hit like 15's, quality sub and definately push air. |

Bronze Member Username: Cadi_sittin_on_l7sIndiana Post Number: 18 Registered: Dec-06 | do the math. A=lw. s15l7 = 15x15 = 225 sq. in. 18 inch sub = 2xpixr~ 243 sq. in. less than an 8% difference. Ill refrase. These 15 l7s push less than 8% air than an 18 inch sub. |

Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 622 Registered: Aug-05 | ok, im doin area of a circle at school in math and this is how we calculate it... for a fifteen it pi times the radius squared =176.63" squared. and for an 18 its same formula but the result is 254.34" squared. i see quite the difference... or maybe im just tought wrong. im not all that conserned about it any ways. i dont want to make a box that will take up the hole van for some 18's. 15's will be good. probably cant get quality 18's for around 200 too often any ways. |
Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 623 Registered: Aug-05 | ahh you guys are doin the area of square subs. sh!t my bad.... go to read stuff more carefully. |
Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 624 Registered: Aug-05 | i can get kickers locally, not sure of a price, but would they be a good idea? i could probably get some deals becuase i know the guy doing co-op there, he said hed give me some deals... |
Gold Member Username: James1115Use a simple... Post Number: 8284 Registered: Dec-04 | kickers will get very loud if thats what you are after. for $200+/sub I would do 2-3-4 FI q's or for $120/sub shipped on ebay you can get type r's which sound great and get plenty loud. |

Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 631 Registered: Aug-05 | i like the fi ssd's. a good price, and nice watts. who has a good experience with this sub? is this a good quality brand i can use every day at the required watts in a sealed box for the next 5 years? |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 1459 Registered: Sep-04 | Don't do a 3 sub setup, do two 15's and spend 300ish on each subwoofer and that'll be great. Instead of getting 3 somewhat nice but not as great 200 dollar subs and THEN, have a weird ohm configuration because you have a 3 sub setup, where as you can spend 300 each on two better quality subwoofers and have a good ohm load depending, and getting the most out of your amp. Get my drift? if not then ok =). |
Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 632 Registered: Aug-05 | i get your drift... im still diggin the fi ssd's. when i get my social insurance number, so i can get my income tax back, im going to invest in a vehicle, then get my old job back and start on the system. thanks for the info guys. |

Silver Member Username: AstrosafariDelhi, Ontario Canada Post Number: 640 Registered: Aug-05 | im not going to competitions or any thing. just need some thing with some pound for every day. you guys are givin me top of the line stuff. nothing wrong with that, its fittin my price range. im stickin around 200 still. so i see the Fi SSD for $209 and the Treo TSI for $220... now that difference isnt alot to worry about... what more should i lean more to? the tsi handles 300 rms, and the Fi handles 800 rms. i like the look of the Fi a bit more, but appearance isnt every thing. i think i might go with the Fi... what do you's think? |
Bronze Member Username: Derick06Texas, Rio G... United States Post Number: 52 Registered: Nov-05 | From my experience I would recommend you that SSD. My friend just got a 15" Q and it pounds in a ported 4 cubic foot box tuned to 33hz. I have an RE SX and I love it. RE and Fi are kind of the same thing but Fi subs are improved from the RE's from what I've read. I can't speak for Treo since I've never heard any of their subs but I've read they are very good. |
