Amp wire awg and amp question...

Silver Member Username: Killer44Ontario Canada Post Number: 775 Registered: Dec-04 | So im gunna be running between 1000rms to 1400rms and i was gunna run 0awg power and ground, but alot of the amps im looking @ say they recommend 4 awg amp kits for the amp, now will it be overkill if i use 0awg, maybe i should use 2awg or even jsut stick with the 4awg i already have and simply replace the agu fuse with an anl fuse? also i need some suggestions on some amps to power my subs, im gunna be powering 2 mmats P3.0 12's (dvc 2ohm) so i need something around 1400rms@1ohm ideally (they are 700rms each) i got 350-400$ cdn to spend, some suggestions ive already been given are the kx1200.1, sx1250.1, ed nine.1 and Autotek MM1400.1D... |

I use to run two 15" L7s wired to 1 0hm and this amplifier preformed with flying colors, pushing over 3000 watts of power(certificate from a local audioshop) this amp had no problem makn my subs really dance and beat up the block this amp will easily fit your price range too! this amplifier will preform very close if not over 1600 watts RMS @ 1 ohm! hope that is some help |

Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, OR U.S. Post Number: 4571 Registered: Oct-05 | miguel, by the looks of it b/c he was considering MM and EDnine.1, and kicker, looks like he wants some high quality amps. a hifonics 1606D wouldnt be considered in any of those lists. the hifonics amps are overratd power wise, and quality wise, their nothin more than a good budget amp. ) LOL! would never push 3000 watts. thats called MAX watts, and they mean absolutely nothing |
