i had 2 kicker l5s hooked up to a orion 1200d amp...the people at the place i got everything hooked up changed the wiring of the subs to make them one ohm, when they blew everything was smoking and the ampa nd the subs were completely blown...they said the ohms changed to an unstable ohmage and thats what blew everything... 1. is that possible? i didnt know that could happen 2. what else could have been the cause and would they be at fault?
can the l5's handle one ohm...depending on where you got it installed they should be at fault if the subs cant handle a 1 ohm load unless you told them to wire them to 1 ohm but even if you did tell them to and they knew the subs couldnt handle it they should still be at fault
