having problems....in my girls accord...ok put the ads comps in they where sounding nice..until she called me and told me she heard a really loud whine noise...i was like wtf..so sure enough there is a whine noise(alternator whine) so i thought to myself ok has to be the ground...so i checked secured it and everything, still whine....so i was like maybe the gain is set to high...so i checked it and nope set kinda low...so i was like let me check the RCA cables....used 3 diffrent sets and still whine??? what do u guys think can be the problem??? I even bought a ground loop isolator and still whine...

I really hope its not the Amp(crossfire VR402) or the hu(premier 860)

I think you can have alternator whine if the alt is going bad.

that shouldnt harm it at all but the whine could be from her hu or some wiring problem..cause i had a wine everytime i rev'd the enigine cause of my hu or re wired everything good and did grounds over powers over checked rcas and it stopped...that or for some reason the alt is going bad...and sorry bout the grusome i mean grusome "mouth" i hate that

Its a ground issue. Try running a ground directlty
from the bat neg to the HU neg, and put a small whip off that to the HU chassis.

I had this happen to me a few years ago, and it was my amp:-( old alpine v-12. I hope this isnt your problem. I would say change out the amp and see if it changes.

Some people think that Alpine has reduced their pre out voltgae due to this problem.

Try and install a noise supressor on the HU (+) wire and see if that helps.

Naw...

Its like playing chess. Sometimes you just need to step back from the intensity, and take a look from far away.

Sometimes outsiders can see a solution to the problem because they are not in the thick of things. It happens to me all the time. Its usually something very simple, just not obvious right off the bat.

Yep, when you have a good amount of knowledge, you automatically think the worst and forget about the simple things.

Try the amp in another car, and if it doesnt whine, try the hu. if no whine, then its gotta be the alt since you went over wiring a few times and nothing.
