I have 4 13w7s in a sealed box. i built the box to the exact specs of jl s web site sealed box. they are all in a row not stacked and they are individually sealed. i have them all ran series individually then i brought them all together paralell to a 3/4 ohm load on a cadence 2500 watt @1 ohm rms amp. the box is in the middle of my van firing backwards. i tried forward but it sounded like crap. now all it does is hits extremely low. the box was to big to put anywhere else (its like 5 feet wide) what would be a way to make a better box. wall it or what. any suggestions are appreciated.
Ported box requires larger box. However, you gain more bass. I doubt you need 4 13W7 in a car, unless you with to go deaf. If you get tired of 13W7, I have 15" RE MT sub for a trade. It's 2500w rms.
ported wall and if thats not loud enough then maybee another amp and if thats still not loud enough u might be deafwich in that case u need to sell everything and get 4 18"atomic apxx and a lot of bigg amps and batteries and that should bring ur hearing back in no time
atomic are good??? hahah buddy they are one of the best speakers they get insanely loud but not juzz loud ridicously loud a single 15 apx can take out the jackhammer easily
Andrew, I'm just trying to get rid of my MT cause it's too loud for everyday driving. If you love attention/triggering car alarms in the parking lots, this is it. I only fed around 1200w but it was enough to get everyone's attention at a dealer shop. Did I mention the sub is in excellent shape? Didn't abuse it.
