Bronze Member Username: Bryan333Post Number: 71 Registered: Nov-06 | well, when I search rockford 5002 I get this amp http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/ez2/fcsscripts/Images/Rockford/2004/Amplifiers/Po werT5002_F.JPG and this amp http://shop.extremeaudio.de/images/rockford/DSC00077.jpg the second one is the one I am talking about, and I read its 500watts RMS to each sub at 2ohms |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3687 Registered: Dec-05 | well, if i'm not mistaken, type Rs are 500w rms each. Are they DVC 4 ohm or 2 ohm you'll need a 1000w rms amp |
Bronze Member Username: JeromebakerPost Number: 33 Registered: Dec-05 | I messed up my first post. That amp should put out about 550 rms (on a bench test. Rockford's strict w/ratings). But only when it's bridged at 4 ohms. Not run at 2 channels. And it's not stable bridged at 2 ohms. These are the ratings on that amp: 125 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS 250 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS 500 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms bridged RMS ...You're gonna be underpowering your subs. |
