New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 3 Registered: Dec-06 | i dunno the l7 doesn't put out enough spl the sq is decent but could be better its going in my 97 monte carlo(which has a nice big trunk), budget really doesn't matter that much, and yes im going to buy a new amp |

New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 5 Registered: Dec-06 | around 800 would be nice but whatever |
Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2663 Registered: Feb-06 | so the l7 didn't have enough spl for you but you thought it's sq was decent? wow, i'd have guessed it the other way around. here's some subs (spl): http://www.atomicspeakers.com/apx_apxx12.html http://www.earthquakesound.com/dbxos12.htm http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=9900c http://www.reaudio.com/specs.html#sp_mt http://www.mmatsproaudio.com/juggernaut.htm http://www.tcsounds.com/tc5200.htm |

Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2664 Registered: Feb-06 | ignore that list, posted all that when i saw you say you really didn't have a budget. just read you now have a budget of $800, is that just for the sub? |
New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 6 Registered: Dec-06 | well like it wasn't earth shattering bass but when it hit the lower freq(for a sub) it sounded great |
New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 7 Registered: Dec-06 | under powering? the rms is 750 for the sub and the amp max's rms is 750 |
New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 8 Registered: Dec-06 | no around 800 to 1000 for the whole package sub(s) amp box etc |
Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2665 Registered: Feb-06 | hifonics overrates their amps so at a steady 14.4v you probably saw about 550-600wrms. and if you meant the amps max power was 750wrms then it would be even worse. always look for rms, never peak. |
New member Username: Chris_t54Post Number: 9 Registered: Dec-06 | alright well then with that budget and my vehicle specs what would you think i should get?? |
