Sunday, December 03, 2006 - 08:18 GMT so you don't think common chamber would be a better bet? btw im not so sure the triangle in the middle would work seeing the port would not be the exactly height of the box.. interchangle port so it would be smaller in side

Sunday, December 03, 2006 - 21:05 GMT tuning don't matter.. both boxes would be tuned to the same freq.. depending on which would depend on the port.. so common chamber FTW?

Tuesday, December 05, 2006 - 02:37 GMT yea but I'm already not going to have enough room for two 15"s ... trying not to redude box volume if I don't have to.. I might be able to squeeze 6cu.ft after displacement for two SX 15"s

Tuesday, December 05, 2006 - 02:44 GMT btw.. if that were a slot port on your box it would be more efficient.. the airflow would be more continuous given the port would be the height of the box.. TCAB has some new flared ports built into the box .. basically a slot port turned into a flare.. pretty tight

Sunday, December 10, 2006 - 02:06 GMT BTW, the box isn't MDF that is why the color is like that. I have seen the flared slots they are pretty nice and I have a couple of designs with them but my sketchup is giving me a hard time rendering it in real time so I am still stuck with straight edges. The box I am building is a composite, using sheetrock, epoxy and fiberglass. This is a part time thing and I have all winter to work on it but the shape will stay only the port config may change. Polo..

Sunday, December 10, 2006 - 02:31 GMT you could use birch.. just cut halfway through the wood every 1/8inch where you need the bend to be and bend it.. ex.. | |||||||||| | the ||||| represents the corner.. thats how the cuts would be.. then bend

Sunday, December 10, 2006 - 02:36 GMT well i know i'm late but i experiemnted with same exact tuning/vol of 1 single chamber box vs 2 separate chambers single chamber wins in SPL by alot - separate has better SQ but less louder.........
