Ok, can someone please help me figure out this puzzle. I just got my Memphis 16-MCD1000 yesterday and I tried to install it today at lunch. Ok, everything is wired correctly, but when i tried to lastly connect the power wire to the battery, the 2 40A fuses blew. Ok, so I go to a local shop down the road from my job and get two more. I put them in and restart the process. Instead of the fuses blowing, the damn amp starts SMOKING!!! I jerk the power wire off and wait until my next break at work to try it again...and once again it does it again. What could be wrong, even though I have a strong idea...}}

I feel ya, but let me explain a lil more in detail. The first time the fuses blew, I took both terminals off of the battery and put them back on - first and + second. When I put the new fuses in, they didn't even blow...the amp just started smoking.

Yea Ty, you're right. This old man that lives around here told me that the power supply was probably bad. And Chad said the same thing happened to him. I wonder if this a common thing with their amps?
