Clarion has really disappointed the consumers with this amp. I went to my buddy's shop today EXOTIC Car Audio, in Ft. Walton Beach, FL to see what this amp really pushes. I was amazed at how clarion listed the specs on this amp in relation to how it really hold up. For the money it's >ok......Are you ready? Here at the specs: 14.4v 1 X 290w rms @ 4ohms 1 X 590w rms @ 2ohms 1 X 1050w rms @ 1ohm 0.5 ohm (unstable) I guess clarion is only listing the peak power to this amp when they list the specs. I was a little bit upset, because I was raving at the specs that I saw online and my buddy embarrassed them. I will be listing the specs for the MA audio HK401SX tonight.
I have to admit for the price it is a worthy amp, $279 from Cardomain (Authorized Internet Retailer) Clarion does back up the amp with a two year warranty........
