I didn't figured it would work. I have a couple of home cabinets that match my funiture so I was going to switch out the subs that are in them from the woofers to some subs so I can get a little more of the low notes. Just didn't know how I could do it.

you can just calculate it. its not too hard. just take off the 1 cuft but cutting the side off the box off, and then putting a new board on it. then just calculate how much you need to shorten the port, so that you maintain you current tuning.
ya then use a port calculator and cut off something like 6 inches off the port to keep your tuning. you will possibly gain some spl, because you will have more port area per cuft.
