-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would say it all depends on the signal you feed it,the class it is and how much power it is producing. You could also look at the specs

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- well.....you cant really "tell" per say.
but look at THD, Dampening(200 or above is fine), Voltage at which RMS power is at. that should get you started. here is the kicker though, A-bahn amps can have all those specs looking good, and it still be a shitty amp its all about whats inside, not the specs

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- are you not satisfied with the sq from your sub doc?
your amp is very solid so i doubt its your amp. i say let your sub break in for a bit and you will see that it sounds much better.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i dont think that amp really matters much at all for sq. just get a good brand amp and youll be fine. i dont think your gunna tell a difference between 800rms from an abahn, or 800rms from a kicker..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- a watt is a watt they say...within the amps normal operating limits. but the durability is a different bone to chew..
Who said it was dumb? I answered your questions to the best of my ability. And why are you shouting!?!?! btw the first amp is sh!t. saw the word "max" and knew lol
theres is no way of sayin wich amps will sound better, one thing is louder and another better.
alot of facts affect sound quiality or clipping in an amp like mosfet too close to the crossovers, cheap internal components, bad mosfets, small capacitors with bigger power supplys, there are alot of facts that affect sound quality.
juzz because some one say a brand sucks doesn mean all their products sucks, take for example lanzar, all their products suxs but wait wat about aopti amps?? those are really great.
the best judge is the ear man, never take an advice from people that u think they dont know always think twice and think before u buyin.
and the. "you get wat u pay for" sentence is not sometimes true there are alot of cheap products that are good.
Thats all I was wondering, other than vc configurations were there any way of telling how an amp will sound and for what apps would you use them for? No, not shouting, i was only bsin' I thought that amps thd and how low of freq its capable of would make a difference! As for the speed comment, well I wont say nothing as long as you don't tell anyone!!LMAO!!!!j/k
my tech said thats what he goes by when buying an amp! The specs. Thats like when shoppin' for a sub, he looks at, for example the fs.Sensitivity: 89dB Frequency Response: 18-2000 Hz Thats low fs compared to most
Well, the first amp is a Pyle, the second is a Zapco. If you know what to look for, you can elimanate some bad ones, but its still not the way to compare amps. Ecoustics has a review section which can help in deciding.
I'll give you a clue, whenever you see "1000w" on a spec, dump that item. They're playing with numbers. Take a look at home audio, when they say 100w, most cases, it is 100w. In car audio, 100w is more like 25w or less. Sony's 200w HU puts out <18w rms per channel. Who do you know would buy/be impressed with 60w stereo?
