I'm looking to buy a head unit that's going to be working with the following: - 6x8 Infinity reference 2-ways (front) - 6x9 Infinity reference 2-ways (back) - 2 12" Ascendant Audio Assassin woofers ported in the trunk.
Heres what i don't understand...
People keep telling me that you don't wanna go cheap on the HU because it's the center of your system and it can make everything else sound like crap if you don't buy a nice one.
Does moving up to higher price/quality model really affect the SQ of your system that much? or is it more just about more features and capabilities? And if it does affect the SQ, what is it within the specs of the HU that you can look for to determine the sound quality it will provide?
Hope this question makes sense...Thanks in advance.
Andrew Capps has a nice older model Alpine 9835...it was 2005's top of the line....it works perfectly and it has a crack in the screen but you can only see it when your at a certain angle and i dont believe the drivers side is that angle...200 shipped....
