If a sub calls for a box 1.5 cft and you put it in a box that is 3 cft will it sound horrible? I haven't ordered the sub yet I was just wondering if it would sound empty or hollow?
the higher hz will sound muddy, and the sub will need less power to reach full excursion, so if you put too much power to the sub it will more than likely bottom out.
i had 2 type rs in a 8cubed box 4cubes per each sub an they sound go0d as f3ck on the low notes an ok on highs inside an on da outsid eof car highs r loud as hell an lows just vibrate everything wit thump its in a like 40x30 or 50x40 garge an sounds damn god inside 4cubes per each sub tuned @ 25hz 16x34x31 port 3x14.5x38
highs like in da song shoulder lean an both subs power off a orion 2500d @ 1ohm an gain was only half an i had 20g speaker wire like 30ft long or more just testin from amp in 1 car 2 mine but once i have everything hookd up in my car ill have 2 things of 14g wire on both subs
