Bronze Member Username: PitbullguyChi Town Post Number: 63 Registered: Oct-06 | So i'm gettin rdy to set up a couple 12" assassins in the near future(300rms each;600rms total). ppl have reccommended a kicker kx600 amp which does 300rms at 2ohms and 600peak at 2ohms. the subs need 300rms each and im under the impression that "peak" means the amp can't sustain that wattage for extended periods of time. wouldn't the subs be underpowered? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 548 Registered: Jun-06 | no the amp does 600 rms @ 2 ohms......300 rms @4ohms |
Silver Member Username: Rick_rossPost Number: 628 Registered: May-06 | that amp does around 700 rms at 2 ohms |

Bronze Member Username: PitbullguyChi Town Post Number: 64 Registered: Oct-06 | hmmmm this says it does 300rms at 2ohms. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1331443/vpcsid/0 /SFV/30046 is that just a misprint then? should factory renewed worry me? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 549 Registered: Jun-06 | yes its a misprint and no........factory refurbs are just as good as new.might have some scratches but thats all. |

Bronze Member Username: PitbullguyChi Town Post Number: 66 Registered: Oct-06 | single 4 ohm ty |
Bronze Member Username: PitbullguyChi Town Post Number: 67 Registered: Oct-06 | what does that mean, can they even run at 2 ohms? |
Silver Member Username: Livin_loudNy Post Number: 435 Registered: Jan-06 | no. it just means you wire them differently |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3410 Registered: Sep-04 | 2 SVC 4 ohm subs can be wired together in parallel for a 2 ohm load or in series for a 8 ohm load. |
Silver Member Username: Livin_loudNy Post Number: 438 Registered: Jan-06 | whoops i misread that, my bad |
Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 3191 Registered: Sep-05 | the zx 750.1 would be great for those, |
