Gold Member Username: BestmankindFi AudioBTL Post Number: 7072 Registered: Oct-05 | damn thats what i was afraid of. the price is so aweosme though. |
Silver Member Username: BernymacAQ HD3!!, CA United States Post Number: 904 Registered: Sep-04 | Chad, how much does that memphis cost? What you can do though, is hook up one amp per coil with those amps though. They put out like 2650rms at 2ohms. Put one on each coil of your subwoofer thats a lil over 5k. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3345 Registered: Sep-04 | wow tell em about it. literally. lol. i dont know anything about massive audio amps. would i be better off with a kicker kx2500 or a massive p3000.1? because i was planning on a kx2500 but if the massive amp is a good amp I'll go with that. anyone? |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindFi AudioBTL Post Number: 7077 Registered: Oct-05 | memphis 4000 = $800 each. |
Silver Member Username: BernymacAQ HD3!!, CA United States Post Number: 906 Registered: Sep-04 | Me and Doc have the P3000.1's. But neither of have had the chance to try them out yet since Doc doesn't having the charging system, and I don't have power wires and other stuff. BUt look on ROE Amp Guts, see if you like the board and what not. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3346 Registered: Sep-04 | roe says 2680 at 2 ohms so i guess its overrated? chad- i cant put 4000wrms on my Mags.... 3000 is MAX i am willing to. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3347 Registered: Sep-04 | although it's 2000 at 2 ohms which is good for me. is it good enough to get it over the kx2500 which i can get with a 3 year warranty for just under 700? |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 140 Registered: Mar-06 | It isn't 1 ohm stable. The Sundown amps are on sale at $450 shipped as well. We also are wroking on a Sundown/SI sale hehe. |
Silver Member Username: BernymacAQ HD3!!, CA United States Post Number: 907 Registered: Sep-04 | In a way, the amp is 1 ohm stable. You can do a 1260rms x 2 at 1ohm each channel. Or you can do Bridge at 2ohms for 2650rms. |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindFi AudioBTL Post Number: 7078 Registered: Oct-05 | i really want to put 6000wrms on each of my btls. so 12,000 wrms. but we all know that ain't gonna happen. i wish i had the charging system to do it though. |
Gold Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 1437 Registered: Jun-06 | how much does the sundown put out? |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 141 Registered: Mar-06 | The Sundown is rated 1500@ 1 ohm. Have seen 1800-2000 @ 1 ohm. Will run .5 ohm stable as well, and not hurt warranty. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3350 Registered: Sep-04 | Kevin, What does the sundown push at .5ohms? guess if you have to but I'd like to know some bench test results if possible. thanks! |
Silver Member Username: ShowridesHartford, CT USA Post Number: 391 Registered: Feb-06 | Around 2500rms with a proper electrical |
Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 748 Registered: Jul-06 | "i really want to put 6000wrms on each of my btls. so 12,000 wrms. but we all know that ain't gonna happen. i wish i had the charging system to do it though." Chad you won't be able to get a charging system to support that unless you tear your whole car apart. It would quite a bit of alternator support to put out that kind of power from a charging system, now keep in mind you need some major horsepower to turn all the alternators for that. You just need the capacity(More Batts) for that kind of power, but I don't consider batts charging system. |

Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 143 Registered: Mar-06 | Sundown amp would be my #1 choice with 2 MAG's, as long as you have the charging system to support her, and at this price HARD to beat for the quality and warranty ! Kevin |
Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 749 Registered: Jul-06 | ^I have,I heard they are pretty good amps from quite a few people. |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 144 Registered: Mar-06 | Massive Audio is a pretty good line, or else we wouldn't carry them ;) . Here is link to one of the CW's performing for you... http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180844 That should be it. If not let me know. Only problems we have had out of amps is beat up during shipping. Of my knowledge, none have been sent back with problems. They do VERY close to ratings as well. P3000 is power hungry and need lil more than 14 volts to crank out 3000 watts, but the 1000 and 1500 are almost if not right on. Also with 2 year warranty, great product |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3368 Registered: Sep-04 | wow, that guy Loyd hit 150.7 with 2 mags and 2 saz 1500Ds and music. no wait, country music! I envy him right now. |
Gold Member Username: StnorrisDavenport, IA US Post Number: 1593 Registered: Apr-06 | i have the p1500 amp. its a pretty good amp. the p3000 is just two p1500s linked together. i dont think either of them are overrated or underrated. |

Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 146 Registered: Mar-06 | I can get specs on box if needed. PS: Just a daily box too Kevin |
Silver Member Username: ShowridesHartford, CT USA Post Number: 393 Registered: Feb-06 | 2.5 cubic feet, tuned around 40hz. Around 1000rms of power. It was a daily box that was used. Tuned higher, and with more power I am sure it would have hit even harder. |
Silver Member Username: Denali_on_22sMaryville, TN Us Post Number: 464 Registered: Feb-06 | kevin could you get me a box design for 2 12s? the box he played it in was tuned to 43 hz... I'd want lower than that... my email is slimmyjimmys@yahoo.com... Thanks |
