Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3255 Registered: Sep-04 | they have a calculator on their site. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 753 Registered: Nov-04 | yea that calc tells me i need 1 1400 for cranking and 2 2000 near the amps. do i really need that much? |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3256 Registered: Sep-04 | yup. that would make your charging system flawless. however, you could prolly get away with a monster in the back. im going to get a 1400 for cranking and i have a monster for the back. i'll be pushing 2500 to the subs. 250A alt |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 754 Registered: Nov-04 | ive got a 260amp alt. gonna do 1400 for cranking and 1 2400. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3261 Registered: Sep-04 | yeah. a 2400 is a monster. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 755 Registered: Nov-04 | I should be good with that. the sub amps will do roughly 2700 watts. plus my componet amp wich is a 4channel. that does 4x65. |
Silver Member Username: BernymacAQ HD3!!, CA United States Post Number: 877 Registered: Sep-04 | How about trying just one 2400 for cranking first, and see if you need any batts after that? And if you do, get the 1400 in the cranking and take the 2400 and put it in the back. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 756 Registered: Nov-04 | Hmm good plan there breny :D Cant hurt to just try it that way. |
Silver Member Username: BernymacAQ HD3!!, CA United States Post Number: 878 Registered: Sep-04 | yeah. I was on steve meades website, and on his wifes navigator he was running 4k with a 260amp alt from iraggi and 1 2150S Odyssey battery. So truly, IMO one HC2400 should do the job, daily driving that is. But for burps/competition, a extra battery is probaly best imo, but not sure, just a guess. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 757 Registered: Nov-04 | yea this is just daily bumping. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 758 Registered: Nov-04 | Got a problem where my battery goes in my 350z there is no way of getting a battxery as large as the 2400 in there my stock battery measures 9x6.5x7.5(LxWxH) and its so close to everything that i wouldnt be able to get the large bettery in.So now im in search of a new battery that i can fit in there and keep up with my system. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3277 Registered: Sep-04 | one problem, a monster may not fit under the hood... i think in my situation it wont, and the 1400 will be too small. so i want to make a fiberglass holster that also holds my fuses and stuff. It should be pretty cool. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 759 Registered: Nov-04 | see what i mean. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3290 Registered: Sep-04 | you might be able to fit (3) 600s in there. total of 2550A . or just go back to a 1400 for crank and 2400 in the back. ay man, nobody said this hobby was heap OR cooperative. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3291 Registered: Sep-04 | cheap* |

Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3312 Registered: Sep-04 | I have a '02 escalade. batcaps work great from my experience. i used a xstatic batcap but i bet kinetik 600 and 800 is even better. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 763 Registered: Nov-04 | Well I think im gonna give the batcaps a try just because of the size of them i can run the 2000 up front for cranking and 2 of the smaller ones in the rear that only weigh 3lbs each. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 764 Registered: Nov-04 | for cranking: http://www.ultimate-sounds.com/xstatic/batcap2000.htm 2 of these in the rear. http://www.ultimate-sounds.com/xstatic/c2.htm What do you guys think? |

Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3323 Registered: Sep-04 | look at the extra room to the left of your batt. there is room for a 1400 |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 769 Registered: Nov-04 | Dimensions: 9" x 5.3" x 8.1" is the size of a 1400 and my factory battery is 9x6.5x7.5 so i could fit the 1400 but then i will need an extra batt in the rear wich what i wanna get away from especially one that weighs 80lbs. i dont need my car sitting funny from all the weight outback the sub is heavey enough as it is. the 15" BTL. Back to batcaps i can fit the 2000 up front easily and the 800 batcaps are only 14lbs each so i can do 2 of those in the rear. |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 770 Registered: Nov-04 | if i was gonna do 2 batts i would do the batcap 8600 Dimensions - 12.5 x 9.5 x 9 Size And Weight - 70 Pounds Amp Information 12 Volt - 9600 Amps 14 Volt - 9600 Amps 16 Volt - 8400 Amps |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3332 Registered: Sep-04 | do you readize its like 1200$$??? and 80lbs isnt that much. ever have 2 people ride in the back? thats like 300+ pounds... |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 771 Registered: Nov-04 | im saying if i didnt care about weight as much. Those batcaps can be had for 1k How much do the 2400s go for 400 dollars? the 8600 puts out 9600amps wich is almost 4 of the 2400s Nope never had it since i dont have a back seat. its a 2 seat car. |
