hey i got a trunk space of 37x20x20 i should be able to get a 6 cube box back there for the 18 ill be buying its a re sx and i want it tuned to 35hz and the sub on top and port in the back so if you can build the box on subwoofer tools and does it matter if i just stick the sub on top instead of the front like it shows on subwoofer tools help me please last question on a box i just need this one
i would not advise you firing subs up in a trunk unless you want to spend a lot of money on sound deadener.. that 18 firing up will make your car sound like its falling apart..
Box - 20.0x37.0x20.0 Vent - 18.5x4.0x28.0
Will be tuned to 35hz and have roughly 5.1cu.ft volume after displacement..
u know wat man build your box at 7cb ft and tune your box at 30hz if u do wat are u thinkin of doin ull damage your ears and blow the fack out of your car
ha yea, but i wanna see lol...i emailed marshall, and he replied and he asked what kind of car i had, so i told him so just waiting on the reply on the box and stuff
marshall uses a threaded rod I believe. I'm not too savvy on braces. i know how to build them, thats easy, but with ported enclosures sometimes braces can add turbulance and such and hurt your SPL. But on the other hand, a well braced box increases your score. So I'm basically just bumping this for you so marshall can help lol.
Oh, and 2 forms of bracing that I know can help and are easy... 1) resin the inside of the box 2) use 1.5" MDF baffle
