make sure you have everything you need in front of you when you start your install. one thing i hate is having to run to the store in the middle of an install cause i forgot it before i began.

well there is a kit for each car. you just unplug the stock stereo and plug in the kit and wire the hu to the kit.

well, i dont know about scions, but most cars have some kind of trim that pulles off, it might be held on with cips or screws, but theres almost always something, ive done cars that were the whole dash, if you have pictures i could make some guesses as to where to start

Some cars have "keys" you have to have to get the stock HU out

yeah, my lexus(toyota) which is probably like your scion(toyota) had little clips inside the air condition vent, get a flash light and see if you can see little things that push down, and be careful, i broke my airvents trying this :-(

any autoparts store.. radio shack is another place that would carry it.. you slide it on the wire before you make the connection.... slide it over the splice and heat it with a lighter. it then shrinks around the wire insultating the splice. its like using black tape except much easier and cleaner and it is not going to fall of...

just drill some holes and run the cable straight to the sub. i don't like those terminals. make sure you seal the hole around the cable though.

so i could just cut a small little opening for the wires and then just seal up the opening with the wires in it with caulk or something?
