Thursday, November 02, 2006 - 21:38 GMT Ya but define breaking in...My RE sx 15 smelled really bad when I was breaking it in and lived but my SSX only smelled a bit and it died, lol. I am afraid to really heat my SSX up because of this. I have talked to many many people about this and have been told many different answers but one thing that most have agreed that if it stinks, it is burning and gains are probably not set correctly. Polo.. PS- How much stink is too much? My RE's burned by eyes and nose!

Friday, November 03, 2006 - 00:18 GMT Glue off the coils. When you smell this, is the dust cap getting warm?

Friday, November 03, 2006 - 20:56 GMT it was a mistake on my part. i had the amp setting all wrong. basically the gain was all the way up and i clipped it to death. i wish i had a camera at that time though. the smoke filled my car and i couldnt see anything. lol. i still have nightmares about that time.
