no. isn't each type x rated at 1000wrms? you're going to want to put at least 1000w to each one, maybe just a little more. and you might be needing to invest in a ho alt. as well.
well, at least he didn't get audiobahn. And type X aren't bad, they're good but there are better sounding subs for the money. You need an orion 2500d if they're dual 4 ohm
i got em 4 300 a piece and the jl was only 499, yeah i went to see about the install and i was told i need another jl...any suggestions?...without the sarcasm please.
They will be dual 4 ohm, since that's the only way they come. They like around 1200-1800 rms each. If you have the room a 3.15 cu ft box with 2-4" pnr ports for each sub, cut length for your tuning. I think we had ours at 11" but don't remember for sure. In a 91 Grand Prix trunk we did 143.2 db Usaci outlaw with 1 12" type x, that box, and 900-1200 watts. We had tried two different amps. My son also used it for awhile in his mini spl truck and it really didn't like 2000 watts+ in about 10 burps. Threw part of the coil out of the motor and now it is hitting the spider. Waiting on replacement.
