Wednesday, November 01, 2006 - 22:00 GMT I am thinking about getting both of these subs and keeping the one I like the most and selling the other. They are rated at 1000 watts rms and I have a soundstream pca-1500 which is supposed to do "1500" at 1ohm.I was just making sure this wasn't going to overpower them. I think they can take it.

Wednesday, November 01, 2006 - 23:45 GMT the HD3 im not sure bout the 3k watts thing. the DD9500 i know can take 3k daily. the reason i say that for the HD3 is because it dosent have the cooling as the 9500 does.

Thursday, November 02, 2006 - 20:38 GMT At that power level there will be no significant differance in cooling between the HD3 and the DD9500.

Friday, November 03, 2006 - 04:21 GMT if you watch the gains, BB, listening habits and user aggression all have factors in this. people have been putting 2000wRMS to Q's with no problem...it is all in the install/user

Friday, November 03, 2006 - 05:15 GMT Id rather have a clean 1500W that a clipped out nasty 1000W amp on one ;) But thats not to say that you should be running 1500W to one either... unless application and set up are spot on.
