Repeat--12W6 Vs. 12L7

Gold Member Username: Van_manBoston South, MA Post Number: 1129 Registered: Mar-06 | sup, I temp installed my 12w6 into my L7 box(3 cubes@30hz) and bearly notice any diff. My L7 was doing ~900rms@1 ohm, and the W6 is Doing @600@2 ohms, Even tried it ~800wrms, and still not very notible diff. So question is am I just tone deaf or has any one noticed a differance in these. I felt the L7 hit a bit harder as well., not by much though. I am going to put it in a JL spec box, and a 2.5 cube tuned to 33hz. this weekend and see if it makes a diffrance. And has anyone used Malimine for boxes? that white laminated 3/4 mdf used for shelfs and cabinets before? |

Post Number: 249 Registered: Sep-06 | it's ur ears and what u think sounds right imo. if i listen, i'll have a different view on this... same for other people. yup, just make sure the seams are sealed shut with glue or liquid nails.(basically no air leaks.) |
