Post Number: 3642 Registered: Mar-04 | well...there is your problem DONT USE THE BASS BOOST!!!!!! bass boost is nothing more than a remote woofer cooker. set the gain CORRECTLY and dont clip your amp...subs/amps will last for years and years if you install them correctly! |

Agreed bass boost is to make fine tuned adjustments not maxed out too distortion....distortion and over excursion is what kills from my experience. I have yet to blow a subwoofer in 16 years of being into car audio. and that includes using the cheapest brands like pyramid phase 3's in my first install (12 dollar 10's LOL)...They are no longer made. |
