Saturday, October 28, 2006 - 04:46 GMT I got some JL xr570cxi rear speakers and xr650-csi front speakers running off a JL 300/4 but every time i turn it up the 570's start clipping please help cuase $210 for somethin to clip sucks but the front speakers are fine at high volumes on the same settings

Sunday, October 29, 2006 - 21:52 GMT my cross in on the amp was at 75 so so they switched it to 100 somethin and switched it to hp. I didn't even think to look at it. oh well its works great now.

Monday, October 30, 2006 - 21:55 GMT he prolly wasnt clipping the amp. the amp was set on LP at 75hz. that means that the speakers were getting a signal w/ low freqency any they were over excurting. (is that even a word?) when they set the amp to 100hz HP, that cut out the low frequency signal.

Monday, October 30, 2006 - 22:37 GMT its probably the way you have your amp setup. your amp has high and low for input. low is for up to 2v from your hu and high is for up to 8v from your hu. so if you have that amp set at low and your hu produces more than 2v, you should switch it to high and see what happens.
