Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 3051 Registered: Sep-05 | in regards to an amp it is the min or max ohm load (resistance) that can be put on it, ex: most 2 channel are 2 ohm stereo stable and 4 ohm bridged. On subs, the voice coils are configured at a specific ohm load, single 4 ohm, single 8 dual 2 ohm , dual 4, dual 6 and more.... you can run 1 single dual 4 at either a 2ohm or 8ohm load to the amp.
