A friend is selling me his 13w7 for 200 bucks so I am going to go ahead and get it. What kind of amp is good for this thing. I know there some kind of weird impendence. I really don't want to spend all the money on a jl 1000/1 to power this thing. I already have two 12w6v2's so I am getting this to put in a ported inclosure to get some spl when I feel the need.

Pike, i can get a 1000 slash with waarranty in the 700 range with warranty, or 4 others that will do about that for around 5. Any of the above will push the sub, all with warranty.
eBay an amp that will do the same, maybe, and get no warranty, no service, and spend a few hundred less. Spend retail, and get warranty, free shipping if you break it, and a free blow-smoke-uop-your-a55-for-free, lie.

Im betting an amp that makes power at four ohm would do nicely if you port the sub. Accounting for rise, the 2.67 load should come up somewhere in the neighborhood you need to be in.
the lowest it can go is 1.5 ohm with a jl amp you will need 2 500/1 slash amps to run it at 1.5 ohms.. but with the 1000/1 slash you will have to run it at 3 ohms because if you parallel it you will run it at 0.75 ohms which will fry your amp
